Five class-D amplifiers drive one tweeter, four mid-woofers and three passive radiators, with psychoacoustic HRTF processing creating height and width from a cabinet small enough to sit under almost any television. It is the natural choice for a living room where a full surround installation would be excessive.

Connectivity — stated plainly

The Sonos Beam (Gen 2) does not have Bluetooth. It connects over Wi-Fi, Ethernet, HDMI eARC and Apple AirPlay 2.

Wi-Fi carries uncompressed audio where Bluetooth compresses it, which is why Sonos builds its home theatre range this way.
